Dr Carl Bamlet and I decided we should go to Arthurs Pass National Park, for divine inspiration for The Modern Caveman wardrobe. What better surroundings than rugged snow-capped natural beauty. Nothing beats a classic merino knit with a point of difference (i.e button-up cuffs) then layering your Merino with your favourite "T" and if you're bold, add a timeless classic scarf in your most complementary hue. Best foot forward even when skies are grey, sheepskin lined boots keep a man grounded, looking sharp without looking soft, while not sacrificing comfort and style. Consider, the layering effect; You never know when you're going to need to peel back some of those layers so why not do it in style! Start with your merino essential, add a cotton breathable shirt, finish with duck-down Jacket (that does not have to be a puffer-style!) Polish off the look with a chunky knit scarf up to your ears. Tailored trousers - a fitted denim or pant always makes the legs look lean and taut.
Not a fan of too much bulk but need to stay warm? Pull out the trusty Merino again and layer with your wardrobe heroes (i.e The striped long sleeve T)!
